    Pulp and paper

Laboratory and online instruments for pulp, paper and wood pellet mills.

We deliver two complementary workflows for the pulp and pellets industry: halogen, sulphur, and nitrogen analysis in the lab (Nittoseiko) and on-line moisture measurement (KPM), well established also in wood pellet production. Configuration, commissioning, and calibration are included.

Two workflows for the paper and wood pellet industries.

We cover two complementary areas for pulp, paper and wood pellet mills: laboratory-based halogen, sulphur and nitrogen analysis, and on-line measurement of moisture content in the process, including moisture in pellets and raw materials.

Halogens, sulphur and nitrogen in the lab (Nittoseiko)

Determination of total halogens, organic chlorine and fluorine, total sulphur and total nitrogen in the sample preparation laboratory. Includes titration equipment. Laboratory-based analysis, not online process measurement.

    On-line moisture content measurement (KPM)

Continuous moisture measurement directly on the line for reliable feedback to process control. Stable operation over long cycles in industrial environments.

    Manufacturer for the industry.

For pulp and paper, we work with two manufacturers who together cover two workflows: lab analysis of halogens, sulfur, and nitrogen; and on-line moisture content measurement. Both have an installed base in the Nordic region.

    Nittoseiko

Japanese manufacturer of lab instruments for the analysis of halogens (including organic chlorine and fluorine), sulfur, and nitrogen, as well as titration equipment. We distribute the Nittoseiko portfolio in the Nordics for the quality labs of the mill industry.

    KPM Analytics

US manufacturer of on-line process instruments. We distribute the KPM portfolio in the Nordics for continuous moisture content measurement directly on the line in pulp and paper mills.

Nittoseiko products for pulp & paper.

Nittoseiko laboratory instruments are used in mill and pellet quality laboratories for the determination of total halogens, AOX/TOX in bleachery and process water, total sulphur and total nitrogen, as well as moisture by Karl Fischer titration. Configured to the mill's matrices and reference methods.

    AQF-5000, halogens and sulphur

Combustion with ion chromatography for determination of total halogens (F, Cl, Br, I) and sulphur in solid samples, liquids and sludge; suitable for recovered fibre, bleached pulp and process samples with complex matrices.

Service and support from our own engineers.

We offer service contracts with annual planned service by our own engineers, for improved operational reliability and stable measurement quality over time. Commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and original spare parts are included as per agreement.

    Standards and reference methods.

Measurements must be traceable to established standards. For halogen, sulfur, and nitrogen analysis, we work with reference methods that your QA organization and your clients' auditors already recognize.

    • ISO 17025 for traceability in calibration, documentation and reporting.
    • ASTM D7359 for determination of total halogens via combustion and ion chromatography.
    • ASTM D5453 for total sulphur via UV fluorescence.

Initial calibration is performed against certified reference material and the mill's own laboratory method. Re-calibration is scheduled according to the service contract.
